We love, because He loves us

At our core is wImagine Faith. wImagine Faith drives us to live with love through all that we do. This love comes in the form of both truth and grace. That as we pursue a greater God, we also must not forget to reach people with love and grace through all that we do.

I will mentor others into unlocking their God given potential

I believe that Jesus literally traveled the Cosmos to bring every single person back home just the way they are. I believe that Jesus died not to condemn the world, but to create a relationship with every single person and love them.

Because of who Jesus is, I will be a mentor to everyone I’m with. I want to leave people better than I found them, by breathing life and joy into every interaction I have and encouraging others to take their step into the unknown, into finding their best selves.

I will reflect God's love in how I live and honor his Truth in who I am

I believe that God’s love saves and God’s truth is still relevant.

I will reflect God’s love in how I live, treating every person as how I’d want to be treated, being patient and filled with grace and joy.

I will reflect God’s truth in who I am becoming, holding myself to higher and higher standards, challenging myself to become more like him.

But most of all, we believe that every person matters. Love saved first, so Love is forever first.

We value relationships that go deep and stay authentic. We nurture the relationships we have with our family and our friends, guiding each other through life. We especially value those with Special Needs because they matter so much to God’s plan and heart. We are designed to live life together because we are Better Together.

I will be the best parent and brother I can be to Michael. Full Stop.

Michael is patient, kind, hard working, and a total goofball. But despite his Autism and inability to communicate, that doesn’t me he’s dumb. He knows who the good guys are, he knows what BS looks like, and he seeks nothing but the best in himself and others.

I will be the best parent I can be to Michael. I will continue to push him further than he probably should be pushed, because I believe in him that much. I will go to bat and fight for him, even when I’m the only voice left in the room, because He is voiceless and doesn’t deserve to be pushed around.

I will surrender every will I had for my own life because I choose Michael. His direction for my life is better than mine. God’s foundation for my life, through Michael, is better than mine. My life is better because of Michael.

I will foster a circle of friends worth fighting for

Michael taught me that every person has potential. It’s not unlocked from freebies, from judgement, from overworking, or from peer pressure. This potential is unlocked merely by continual, dedicated, kindness. A resilience that amazing things can happen so long as I believe in me, in Michael, and in others.

I am for people. I will try to push back on our desire to cast out-groups and create villains in our narrative. I reject the notion that we’re better alone.

I will try to create a circle around me that tries to actively seek their best selves to ensure that they’re worth fighting for and that they’re willing to fight for me too.

I will bring joy, encouragement, and wisdom to my group of friends. Usually through memes.

We live with responsibility to protect the health of ourselves, our mission, our environment, our ethics, and our finances. As we refine our imperfections, we do it not to protect who we are, but to move towards why we are. We exist to leave an Earth better than when we found it.

I will accept nothing but my best: Physically and Mentally.

The 2008 Matt surrendered nearly everything he had, and almost his life, in a pursuit to create this framework to find his real purpose. I believe that giving myself an excuse pass to do whatever I want, now that I am in a position of strength, would be a betrayal to that 2008 Matt who led me to where I am today.

I will follow the Biblical, Scientific, and Common Sense Best Practices that teach us how to live a healthy lifestyle. This focuses on eating less processed foods, exercising, partnering with experts, and honoring ourselves and one another.

I will live a lifestyle that doesn’t hide symptoms to delay difficult decisions tomorrow and avoids situations which are naturally risky. If there’s a problem we will address it right here, right now.

I will steward what I possess well, to leave the world better than I found it.

The health of our finances, one another, and our planet also matter to us because it matters to God. As such, I will intentionally live to try to give more than we take, investing in who (or what) matters most and to what has been given to us.

I uphold my finances to the highest accountability standards, choosing to purchase wisely, save greatly, and give generously.

I will continue to develop and honor this mission, to honor that 2008 Matt who nearly lost it all to create it. I will continue to unlock my maximum potential by never letting go of this mission.

Why? Because health is not demonstrated by what I have or look like, but in who we are.

We create a love driven world by moving forward, because when we move, we move others with us. We move by advancing the depth and applying the breadth of our technical knowledge, in creating solutions which create a more love driven world.

I will grow by using Science and Data

Data has the answers to the greatest unknowns of the world, helping us make more informed decisions, even if it may be unintuitive or uncomfortable at first.

Science is a process that helps us understand the world better, helping us step beyond our biases and preconceptions, and truly learning the truth.

I will use the Scientific Process and Data to grow myself, my career, and my world. I will embrace new technologies and innovations to continually up my game.

I am not in it to win. I am in it to grow.

I will grow myself and my circle with integrity

Growth can be easily purchased by taking shortcuts, betraying others, or faking it. I will not grow for the sake of growth, because it’s the journey to growth that truly grows someone forwards.

I reject personal growth from manipulating data, people, our environment, or our mission. I am in it for the journey. And I’d rather fail for doing what’s right, than win for doing what’s wrong.

I will actively use my leadership powers and educational abilities, for the benefit of others, to help them grow and unlock their best selves.

We empower, because He empowers us

We unblock people so that they can fully follow His plan for their lives. We do that by showing honor and love to everyone, and going the extra mile for those who have been historically marginalized, filling in neglect and abandonment from systematic failures.

I will partner with world changers to change the world

I do not empower the world on our own — nor do we try to do it all ourselves, it’s just not scalable. But when there is someone out on the field doing what we probably would have done anyway, we double down on them.

I will live a life that sacrificially gives to and serves with these world changing partners.

I recognize that there is nothing I can possess and become that will ever out-excuse God’s call for us to restore the broken fabric of this world.

I will not be intimidated by the size of the problem. I will partner, give, and serve because Christ did that for me first.

I will amplify and augment the voices of the marginalized

If I placed equal amounts of love and resources in everyone, it will never be enough to fill the gaping hole left by the years of perpetual racism, discrimination, and exclusion of those who are marginalized. For certain races, genders, disabilities, and life experiences, there is a deep hole with a great emptiness of fairness and hope.

I will use my platform and voice to amplify these voices and augment their needs. I will advocate for their needs, even when it hurts my own needs, to the best of my ability.
