We love, because He loves us

At our core is wImagine Faith. wImagine Faith drives us to live with love through all that we do. This love comes in the form of both truth and grace. That as we pursue a greater God, we also must not forget to reach people with love and grace through all that we do.

Love is always the answer. Here’s what we focus on.

Grace Always Wins

We believe that Jesus literally traveled the Cosmos to bring every single person back home just the way they are. We believe that Jesus died not to condemn the world, but to create a relationship with every single person and love them. We live with the confidence, peace, and trust that this Love affords us and free other people to do the same.

Truth is Relevant

We believe that truth is relevant even today. We respect Biblical Truths because we believe that is how we were created. But, we also respect our relationship with God and one another above all else, letting him guide us, this mission, and our convictions forward.

Givers, not Takers

We recognize that because Christ gave first, we give our money, time, and talents freely and sacrificially. It never belonged to us anyway and there’s no need for a kickback or a feel good moment. We know where it all came from, we know the Cross was enough, and what we have is already unfairly skewed in our favor. All Core Goals of wImagine march in lock step with this statement: We exist to give.

Throw the Baggage out. This is about Love.

We are not interested in embracing the Christian stereotype, with its baggage on worldly views, communication, and political views. Our mission is to simply establish a relationship with the savior of humanity, with all of its love in forgiveness, grace, and direction. We believe that God has a plan and none of us can afford to miss it. Our goal isn’t to judge people into that plan, but to love every single human soul into that plan, because He is love.

We value relationships that go deep and stay authentic. We nurture the relationships we have with our family and our friends, guiding each other through life. We especially value those with Special Needs because they matter so much to God’s plan and heart. We are designed to live life together because we are Better Together.

Michael began it all. Here’s what we focus on.

We are for People.

Michael taught me that every person has potential. It’s not unlocked from freebies, from judgement, from overworking, or from peer pressure. This potential is unlocked merely by continual, dedicated, kindness. A resilience that amazing things can happen so long as I believe in me, in Michael, and in others.

We are for people. We try to push back on our desire to cast out-groups and create villains in our narrative. We believe that every life is a work in progress and we are committed to showing honor to those above us, below us, and to the sides of us. This doesn’t mean we’re perfect at this, but, it does mean we are committed into truly seeing everyone as members of one team.

We keep it Real.

Michael has taught me that the only way to reach him, is to be real. He may not be able to communicate it, but he knows when you’re BS’ing him. His trust comes rarely, but when it clicks in, it’s a comprehensive trust. We take that responsibility seriously by making our real side, our best side.

We create environments where people feel welcomed, needed, and cognizant of what lies ahead because it’s in these environments where people feel safe to question complacency, challenge people to become better, and still love each other at the end of the day. We create these environments by becoming what we want to see — living with the humility, courage, conviction, and love that we claim matters.

We are Fairly Unfair.

Michael has taught me that sometimes, the only way to be fair, is to be unfair. Unfair by taking what I earned and giving it to those who may not earn it. Spending more time with those who are disadvantaged and may never benefit from my investment, over those who already benefited.

This is just as unfair as Jesus’ stand on the Cross, dying a death He did not deserve, so that fairness can be restored. As Jesus died, so will we. We are fairly unfair. We honor and stay committed to relationships, no matter how slow it might get. All we’re seeking for is people who genuinely want to become their best. It’s all that Jesus asked for us, so that’s all we ask out of our relationships too.

We will turn this bus around for Michael

Nobody bets against those with special needs, especially Michael, and gets away with it. wImagine is encoded so that we will do anything short of sin in defending Michael, should he be under attack or at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. We do not negotiate with those who seek to bully or hurt those with special needs and we do not provide any aid to any effort to do so.

We live with responsibility to protect the health of ourselves, our mission, our environment, our ethics, and our finances. As we refine our imperfections, we do it not to protect who we are, but to move towards why we are. We exist to leave an Earth better than when we found it.

It’s about what’s inside, not outside. Here’s what we focus on.

We Invest in Ourselves

We follow Biblical, Scientific, & Common Sense best practices to live a healthy lifestyle centered around healthy + whole foods, exercise, and honor towards ourselves & one another. We actively prevent ourselves from being enslaved to long-term illness, conditions, and treatment plans.

We Invest in One Another

The health of our finances, one another, and our planet also matter to us because it matters to God. We intentionally live to try to give more than we take, investing in who (or what, in the case of Earth) matters most and to what has been given to us. Health is not demonstrated by what I have, but in who we are.

We Invest in this Seal

We are in it to create a more love driven world. Because of that, we surrender our right to make choices that could hurt us or our mission because the mission matters more. To that end, we are transparent over who we are, humble over where we are, and consistently refining who we are becoming.

We avoid stupidity

Some actions could jeopardize the mission and vision of this seal, by placing us in a state where we cannot statistically ensure that we will be safe, and there was no real good reason for us to be in that situation anyway. This includes, but is not limited to, intoxication, injury, illness, addiction, or unethical outcomes.

We will go out of our way to ensure we don’t intentionally place ourselves in those situations, whenever possible, because we have a mission and vision worth dying for.

Data has the answers to the greatest unknowns of the world, helping us make more informed decisions, even if it may be unintuitive or uncomfortable at first. We are committed to use data to create a more love-driven world and we constantly look out for data which may have intentionally or unintentionally be plagued with bias or unjust inequality.

Growth For You, not From You

We are focused on transforming lives through the use of new technologies and promoting accessible education for all. We are committed to use both education and technology as tools to advance our world. These are not replacements to remove responsibility or relationships from our lives.

Science is a Process. Not a Know-it-all.

We value not what science says but in what science is: A process that helps us understand the world better. We honor science by choosing to stay ahead of the curve, applying what’s new to transform what’s broken. We value critical thinking and adjusting from failure, to honor the mission.

Restoration through Empowerment

We honor our world by unblocking people so that they can fully follow His plan for their lives. We don’t create free passes to free people from challenging situations, because there are lessons to be learned from challenges. Instead, we stand with people to help them tear down walls that sin engineered, and help people discover their best side — their love-driven side — so that they can begin to restore the fabric of their world.

We don't do it alone

We do not empower the world on our own — nor do we try to do it all ourselves, it’s just not scalable. But fortunately, we partner with amazing organizations across the globe who share our heart in reaching and loving every life. This Core Goal is responsible for ensuring these partners meet have leadership teams that are diverse, a mission + vision which empowers, a conviction that is beyond reproach, and a proven track record to get the job done.

We invest in the marginalized

If we placed equal amounts of love and resources in everyone, it will never be enough to fill the gaping hole left by the years of perpetual racism, discrimination, and exclusion of those who are marginalized. For certain races, genders, disabilities, and life experiences, there is a deep hole with a great emptiness of fairness and hope. Equality alone cannot fill this hole in, from years of neglect and suffering, and personally, my silence in this area. But, it’s a new wImagine. And we are committed to standing by these marginalized populations, in pushing back oppression, and providing restoration from what was robbed. Because every life matters, we go the extra mile to reach the lives, that have been forgotten.
